In the extensive years of my work experience involving private coaching and learning and development training sessions, a common thread of fear became apparent — fear of making mistakes, fear of failures, and fear of not meeting expectations. Over time, I have realized that the most transformative mindset involves reframing these fears and viewing these obstacles not as an execution problem but as a LEARNING PROBLEM.

But how does one truly bounce back? The answer lies in shifting your fear-based mentality towards a learning mentality. Instead of fearing failure, embrace each attempt as an opportunity to learn. If something doesn’t work the way you want it to, it only means there’s more to learn, and the journey isn’t over. This approach puts your mind at ease and fosters resilience.

Another winning mindset is the experimental mindset. This approach endorses the principle of scientific investigation, viewing every situation as an experiment, a chance to learn and grow. An experimenting mindset endows us with courage, allowing us to make assumptions, admit our ignorance, and wear the hat of a scientist to explore the many paths that lie ahead. As it’s a systematic process, it helps us refrain from jumping to conclusions prematurely, allowing us to collect enough data, make informed inferences, and plan thoroughly. This mindset engenders resilience, creating a more productive approach to challenges. The moment this concept clicks, it’s like a light bulb moment that liberates us from self-imposed constraints and penalties.

Lastly, adopt the mindset of daily evolution — understanding that we are different every day. This idea promotes a high refresh rate for our perspectives towards ourselves and others. By viewing ourselves differently each day, we refrain from overly harsh self-judgment and extend the same courtesy to others.
